How to Set Up Facebook and Instagram Shops Integration
1. Create a Facebook Shop:
- If you don’t have a shop set up, visit the Meta Commerce Manager and create a shop under your business portfolio.
- Go to Commerce Accounts > Add Account to complete the setup.
2. Access the Integration:
- Within your account go to Settings > Integrations > Facebook & Instagram to connect your accounts.
3. First-Time Connection:
- If you’re connecting for the first time, link and log in to your Facebook account, grant permissions, and select the shop pages you’d like to integrate with your Infinite Sales E-commerce stores. Use the Manage Pages option to complete this setup.
4. Reconnect if Previously Connected:
- Disconnect and reconnect the integration, ensuring the LeadConnector integration is also removed on Facebook’s side under Facebook Profile > settings & privacy > Settings > Search for “business integrations”.
- Reconnect to enable the Shops feature and ensure all necessary permissions are enabled for catalog management.
- If the necessary scope is not present, then an error state will be shown that the Catalog Management is disabled
5. Link Pages to Stores:
- From the Messenger Settings on the Facebook & Instagram Integration card, select the appropriate shop pages to link to your E-commerce stores.
- Enable or disable product sync for each connected page based on your preferences.
6. Control Product Syncing:
- To manage product sync per store or page, toggle settings as needed under the Shops tab for complete flexibility.
Important Notes:
- Ensure Proper Catalog Setup: Confirm that the Facebook page has a product catalog linked to enable seamless product syncing.
- Category Check: Your Facebook page should have an “E-commerce Website” category under About > Contact and Basic Info to appear correctly in the Shops section.
- One-Time Product Sync: Only non-recurring (one-time) products are compatible with Meta Marketplace.
- Manage Inventory Carefully: Disabling “track inventory” or selecting “continue selling out of stock” sets the inventory quantity to 999 by default, as Meta Commerce Manager requires an inventory count.
